This is a publication about how online games handle data in transit, which makes it difficult to be casual about how we handle yours. The short answer is that we do not collect any.
One stylesheet, one script and the images visible on the page. All of them are hosted alongside the site itself. Loading a page here produces no requests to any other party, which you are welcome to confirm using the network panel of your browser's developer tools — a habit we would encourage generally.
Three things. It writes the current year into the footer, it opens and closes the navigation menu on narrow screens, and it animates the small horizontal bars in the sidebars when they scroll into view. It reads nothing about you and sends nothing anywhere.
None. The site sets no cookies, writes nothing to local storage, and does not use session storage or any similar mechanism. Clearing your browser data will have no effect on how this site behaves, because there is nothing of ours to clear.
Whoever hosts these files keeps ordinary web server records as a technical necessity — the kind of request log that exists on essentially every site on the internet. We do not query it, build profiles from it, or connect it to anything else. It is retained only as long as the hosting arrangement requires and then discarded.
The figures published in our reviews and logs come from our own test machines and our own connections. They describe round-trip times, packet timing and match outcomes for accounts we control. No reader's connection is ever measured, and no data from a reader has ever contributed to a published figure.
Where a page refers to another site, that reference is descriptive. Following a link takes you somewhere governed by its own arrangements, and we have no visibility into and no responsibility for how that place behaves. We do not use affiliate links or tracked redirects of any kind.
If the technical arrangements of this site change, this page changes with them, in place, on the same day. There is no mailing list to notify because there is no mailing list. Our method page follows the same convention for changes to how we measure.
The absence of tracking here is not a feature we are marketing. It is the default state of a website that has not had anything added to it, and it is worth remembering that every analytics script, advertising pixel and embedded widget on any other site was a decision somebody made rather than something that arrived on its own.
